Multi-Criteria Decision Making in the PMEDM Process by Using MARCOS, TOPSIS, and MAIRCA Methods

Multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) is used to determine the best alternative among various options. It of great importance as it hugely affects efficiency activities in life, management, business, and engineering. This paper presents results a multi-criteria decision-making study when using powder-mixed electrical discharge machining (PMEDM) cylindrically shaped parts 90CrSi tool steel. In this study, powder concentration, pulse duration, off time, current, host voltage were selected input process parameters. Moreover, Taguchi method was for experimental design. To simultaneously ensure minimum surface roughness (RS) maximum material-removal speed (MRS) implement making, MARCOS (Measurement Alternatives Ranking according Compromise Solution), TOPSIS (Technique Order Preference by Similarity Ideal MAIRCA (Multi-Attributive Ideal–Real Comparative Analysis) methods applied. Additionally, weight calculation criteria calculated MEREC (Method based on Removal Effects Criteria) method. From results, problem with PMEDM proposed.
